The club shoots mostly prone small-bore target rifles but in recent years has also taken on the .177 compressed air target air pistol discipline which can be shot at either 10m or 20 yards at the club. The small-bore rifle range comprises 5 lanes for shooting at 25 yards or less. The club has a selection of rifles and equipment for use by those who do not have their own to use. The club also has a new Steyr 5 shot semi-automatic air pistol. The club has a clubroom with some casual seating and tea and coffee making facilities.

The club shoots in Devon County, NSRA or North Devon indoor individual and team leagues during the winter season.

In the summer, members shoot outdoors at either Budleigh Farm Target Shooting Centre or Budleigh Salterton Rifle Club outdoor range at both 50m and 100 yards in NSRA or North Devon individual and team leagues. Many members also shoot in the Plymouth Target Shooting Outdoor Competitions at Budleigh Farm in the summer. TVR organise 3 outdoor shoots of their own; A post Christmas shoot, usually on the first Sunday after Christmas; An Easter Sunday competition with our own special rapid competition at 50m with a prize fund of £250 for anyone scoring a ton. There is also the TVR Really Serious Shoot which is a warm up event, in late July, prior to the Bisley Small-bore Rifle Meeting in August.

Whilst a small club TVR shoots to a high standard with a number of county shooters and some of our ladies have represented Scotland, England and Great Britain in international matches. We are able to give those who wish to take up shooting excellent tuition and coaching.
