Competition Rules

Stickers to be attached to the front of all match cards before round 1 cards are returned for scoring.

Do not remove or replace stickers in any way

If there is a difficulty (shot in the wrong order etc) write a brief explanation on the card to let the Divisional Scorer know what happened and get it countersigned by the witnessing officer.

Please ensure that all shooters use the same initials throughout the season

Designate Mrs, Miss or Ms for Ladies and Jun for Juniors plus date of birth on first shot card for all shooters under 21 years of age and V for Veterans over 60 years of age.

Also on the first shot card please state the County of residence if shooter not resident in Devon. This aids County team selection and Individual awards.

Cards may be shot on receipt of stickers and must be shot in round number order

Shot cards to be received by the appropriate scorer no later than Saturday following the last day of shooting that round.

Certificate of posting to be dated no later than the Thursday following the last day of shooting

Cards received after the Saturday will be disqualified unless a certificate of posting dated no later than the Thursday after the last day of shooting is submitted

Each club to keep their own league tables

Points will be awarded on a 3 – 2 – 1 basis

All rounds must be shot. There are no bye rounds. Where a division has less than an even number of teams the team who would have had a bye will have their score matched against their submitted average.

Do not forget to enclose a stamped addressed envelope for return of results – No SAE = No Results

Challenges should be sent to the appropriate scorer not later than 7 days from receipt of scores, enclosing the appropriate challenge fee per card plus a stamped addressed envelope.

Postponements must be requested and agreed by the appropriate scorer before the last date for shooting. Retrospective postponements are not allowed.

If you have any problems please ask immediately for any help and guidance from either the appropriate scorer or from the Winter League Organiser.

Each year the competitions organiser writes to clubs to invite entries and then provides stickers and a schedule of dates for the last day of shooting each round and the last date for receipt of cards or scores for each round by the Stats Officer.

These notes are purely for information and the formal notices issued by the Organiser each year take precedence.
